Winter Moose

A young female moose lifts her head while grazing on underwater plants at a small pond in the Tetons. This image was made back in January when temperatures were well below zero, causing a not yet frozen section of this pond to form an etherial layer of steam and provide a unusual place for this moose to find a winter meal.
