Great Grey In Flight

The phantom of the north in flight. It's been a year since I've photographed a Great Gray. That's a long time to go without spending time with my favorite bird. So you can imagine just how excited I was seeing this gorgeous guy yesterday in Yellowstone! I photographed him, as well as his Owlet who was close by, for several hours. This is one of my favorite shots from the encounter, as I’ve always dreamt of a flight shot like this! A day like this was definitely worth the year long wait!
