Photographing Moose in Grand Teton

Moose-Grand-Teton-Isaac-Spotts

Shoshone in all his glory. Out of all the moose I’ve photographed in Grand Teton over the past few years, this guy is still my favorite. After sitting and waiting 3 hours for this beautiful bull to wake up from his nap, he finally did and gave a big stretch right at the camera when he did. Made it all worth the wait!

This photo represents why I always am eye level or lower with my subject. Since I was so low, it looks like he’s looking down at me and it gives it a very intimate feel. If I were standing up it would’ve been a whole different shot.
